What started as a simple documentation of whatever camera I was using slowly became a running record of me—where I was, who I was, which city or country, alone or with friends, at home or somewhere far away, traveling, in each phase of life, with each camera and roll of film. A collection of photographs grew, quietly, over time—a transformation caught in fragments, always in a mirror, always reflected, always me noticing me, sometimes clearly, sometimes a little sideways.
What started as a simple tally of whichever camera I happened to be holding slowly turned into a running diary of myself—Jenna Masoud, in all her wandering phases. Where was I? Which city, which country? Alone or with friends? At home or abroad? Traveling or simply existing in a room I’d temporarily claimed? Which camera, which roll of film, which fleeting mood? Each photograph became a small breadcrumb of time, a playful mirror thrown back at me, always reflecting, sometimes distorting, sometimes catching a version of myself I barely recognized in the moment. Over years, the collection grew—not just images, but a quiet map of transformation, curiosity, and the strange little rituals of noticing one’s own life as it unfolds.
